NATIONAL PARK GARAJONAY
Garajonay, the jewel from La Gomera.
From our viewpoint, Garajonay is the biggest jewel from La Gomera. This amazing forest is 3.986 hectares big. We consider it one of the most magical places on the entire island. Hidden spots, full of wonder and amazement.
In 1987 became part or the UNESCO World Heritage, in 2008 from CETS (Carta Europea de Turismo Sostenible) and in 2012 part of the RERB (Red Española de Reservas de la Biósfera – Biosphere Reserve).
The National Park has always projects regarding the protection and repopulation of the forest, education about the flora and fauna that live inside and outside protected areas.
The visitors center Juego de Bolas is one ideal place to start your visit and get a better picture of the culture and nature of this small but wonderful island.
